August Gathering: Soul Tonic; Dance into Spring!

  • YogaSol Studios 11 Mawarra Crescent Ferny Hills, Queensland Australia (map)

Soul Tonic: Dance into Spring!

An invitation to rejuvenate your body, mind, emotions and spirit as we emerge from winter to spring with joy!

Our August gathering will be a women's circle with a difference!  We will have an hour dance session guided by guest dance instructor Ruth Sharp.  Ruth will lead us to physically embody our emergence from a state of contraction to a state of freedom and vitality.  In every moment you will be invited to honour how it feels right for your body to move and explore the physical sensations and the mental/emotional associations that occur for you during this movement meditation.  No dance experience is necessary; our focus will be on the inner sensations rather than the form!

After our session with Ruth, we will sit in circle and have the opportunity to reflect on what we need to do for ourselves to keep ourselves happy, healthy and excited about life as we move into Spring-time.

When:  Saturday, August 25th; 3-6pm
Where:  YogaSol Studios, Ferny Hills
Cost:  $40, Red Tent members $30

Meet your facilitator

Hi, I’m Cyena! I started participating in women’s sharing circles at 18yo when a university friend and I would gather to share poetry, meditate and share honestly with each other, always around a candle and with cups of tea. The circle slowly grew as we invited other women. Over the years, I have attended many other circles and gatherings. I love the sacred ritual of a women’s circle and the safe space to honestly, openly and deeply share with other women, even if you don’t know them. I’ve found that when women gather in sacred space, in the spirit of sisterhood, acknowledging the spiritual soul and strength within each other, it's a powerful and inspiring thing. Whether it’s a gathering of two or a gathering of 60, the intent always fulfils its purpose within a circle and I always leave feeling that my cup has been filled. I hope that you will join me in sacred space so that we can uplift each other.
