Girl Gatherings PASSAGE TO MENARCHE is a five-workshop series aimed at:

• De-mystifying the changes that occur in puberty and at the onset of menstruation;

• Creating a safe space for conversation and connection about ‘girls business’;

• Facilitating a deeper connections for girls with their mothers/grandmothers/guardians,
  their peers and other women in their community;

• Empowering tween girls to understand and honour their physical and emotional development at this transitional time, fostering a positive body image.

What is Menarche?
Menarche is the first occurrence of menstruation.

This workshop series aims to help girls prepare for the transition to womanhood, while nurturing the mother-daughter bond.
