Do you rely on Melatonin to get to sleep?

If you need Melatonin to get to sleep, you probably have a deficiency of nutritional resources for neurotransmitter production.

Taking Melatonin will not fix the problem! It creates reliance on the supplement, and then the body stops making its own melatonin!

Even naturally derived medicines and supplements can be used as a 'bandaid solution', so always beware of anything that requires ongoing use; most likely, it's substituting for a process that the body should really be doing itself.. Including Melatonin!

My goal is always to look at factors contributing to the disruption of the sleep cycle; including:
- sympathetic nervous system drivers
- deficiency of resources for neurotransmitter production, and
- sleep hygiene.

Making the transition from Melatonin-reliance - to your brain making sufficient Melatonin for itself - is achievable once causative factors are understood and remedied.

You won’t need melatonin in the long term if you give your brain and nervous system the right support.
