Girl Gatherings PASSAGE TO MENARCHE is a five-workshop series aimed at:

• De-mystifying the changes that occur in puberty and at the onset of menstruation;

• Creating a safe space for conversation and connection about ‘girls business’;

• Facilitating a deeper connections for girls with their mothers/grandmothers/guardians,
  their peers and other women in their community;

• Empowering tween girls to understand physical and emotional changes at this transitional time, fostering a positive body image;

• Celebrating and honouring girls as they reach this milestone turning- point in their development.

What is Menarche?
Menarche is the first occurrence of menstruation.

This workshop series aims to help girls prepare for the transition to womanhood, while nurturing the mother-daughter bond.
