Initial Consult
In our first meeting, I take a comprehensive overview of
- when your presenting complaint started;
- past illness and physical trauma;
- history of medications;
- recent psychological and emotional stress;
- environmental factors which may be affecting your health;
- diet and recreational habits;
- genetic factors;
- menstrual and reproductive history, if relevant.
Blood tests will be discussed if you have them on hand. If we need more information, I may suggest tests such as food allergy/food intolerance, stool analysis, heavy metals, nutrient status, hormone levels) or a referral to your GP for further investigations.
It’s important to get this background information so that causes and contributing factors can be identified, ensuring a truly holistic treatment strategy.
Second consult
With your health background in mind, we discuss
- all the finer details of your presenting complaint;
- your immediate, medium term and long term health goals;
- your treatment preferences;
- how we will incorporate the recommended changes into your lifestyle so that it will be manageable to achieve your health goals.
I give you a verbal summary of how I see the treatment plan working over the next weeks and months, with your longer health goals in view.
Recommendations may involve dietary changes, nutritional or herbal supplements, and lifestyle recommendations (such as certain types of exercise, mindfulness or relaxation activities). Your prescription will be emailed within 24 hours after the consult along with your invoice. I will advise you where to source your supplements; either locally or online via my prescription order service (usually next day delivery). I supply homeopathic preparations (cost $10-$30).
Follow up consults
Follow up consulsts usually occur in 4-week intervals to review your progress and adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
Homeopathy, Naturopathy, or both?
If you have a preference for either Homeopathy or Naturopathy, you can let me know during the consultation. However, there is no additional charge for incorporating my homeopathic knowledge, you get two services for the price of one! If I see a clear indication of where a homeopathic preparation may be of particular benefit to you, I will let you know and explain my rationale.

Recent Ailments
I am available at short notice to help you via phone consultation. Give me a call and we will go over the details of what is bothering you; it can be anything from a recent mental / emotional shock to an acute ailment such as an infection that you prefer to tackle with natural medicine as a first base (we can use homeopathy, naturopathy or a combination of both). If we need a medical diagnosis or it is a medical emergency, I will always refer you to a doctor or relevant medical assistance.

After hours surcharge: For urgent matters, I am available to help you after hours until 8pm. Consults on weekends or between 5-8pm weekdays will be invoiced with a $25 surcharge on top of the acute consult fee.

I am able to supply Homeopathic preparations on request if you are currently under consultation with another Homeopath and can supply their contact details.

Homeopathy Kits
I can supply Homeopathy kits for home use. Ask me for my ‘Home kit list’ and then we can have a consultation to determine which remedies will be most suited to your family’s needs. The kit can then be used at your convenience in conjunction with my acute consultation service (phone/video calls $65).
FAQ
Can I get a Homeopathy consultation only?
Yes, if you are only interested in getting Homeopathy, you can specify that you want the focus of the consultation to be a homeopathic prescription.
Can I get a rebate on your services with my Health care fund?
Health Care fund rebates for Homeopathy and Naturopathy were removed from the National Health Scheme in 2019.
What if I want a consult but I don't live in Brisbane?
We can do the first consult via video call and subsequent follow-up consults by video call or phone. All forms and prescriptions can be sent electronically.
I issue an online script for any supplements recommended, which are then shipped directly to you. I express post any homeopathic preparations that I recommend.
What if I have booked an in-person consultation but I can’t attend due to illness?
No problem, we can switch the consult mode to video call via my telehealth software.
How much do the homeopathic preparations cost?
$10 - $30 each depending on the size of the bottle required.
Do you make the homeopathic preparations?
No. All homeopathic preparations are dispensed from homeopathic stock preparations obtained from Martin & Pleasance Homeopathic Lab (Melbourne, Australia).
Can I purchase a homeopathic preparation without a consultation?
Homeopathic preparations can only be dispensed after consultation, or if you have an existing homeopathic practitioner (and can supply their contact details/proof of prescription).
